Nucs
Queen grafting to create queens and nucs for sale is always a lot of work but very rewarding part of beekeeping. We created 40 grafts on March 10th that resulted in 38 queen cells. These were moved to mating nucs on March 20th for the queens to emerge and take their mating flights. We will have both queens and nucs available around April 12th. Comb Honey
Getting frames ready for comb honey. Setting up a few extra boxes this year due to the high demand. Making comb honey takes a strong nectar flow and a strong hive. It also takes a lot of nectar to make the comb, 8 lbs of nectar for every 1 lb or honeycomb. Hope to have some ready in May/June timeframe,
